Sophia Alvini-Moore

Sophia Alvini-Moore is a cellist and educator currently in Miami, Florida. They are pursuing a Masters in Music at the University of Miami Frost School of Music under Ross Harbaugh. They enjoys making music in various settings including symphony orchestras, musical theatre pit shows, libraries, and recording studios. Sophia is a passionate educator and has taught cello and music theory for five years. Currently, they are serving as a teaching assistant with the Frost School of Music Shalala MusicReach program and a Henry Mancini Institute Fellow. Sophia graduated from the Shenandoah Conservatory with a BM where they studied with Julian Schwarz. When not playing the cello, they enjoy cooking, roller skating, playing board games, and studying Spanish.
