Chakky

Chakky is a Toronto-based artist, songwriter and producer making electronic alt-pop for the moments when life stops making sense. Guided by the phrase “tryna make sense of the insensible,” his music pairs restless hooks and reflective writing with distorted synths, heavy low end and an energy built to translate from headphones to crowded rooms.

Beginning with piano before teaching himself production and singing, Chakky developed his music as a hands-on DIY project, writing and producing his own records from a bedroom studio. His music has received editorial support from Fresh Finds Canada, Indie Pop & Chill and RADAR Canada, while his live performances have taken him to stages including the Horseshoe Tavern, The Painted Lady and Primal Note Studios.

Influenced by artists including Jane Remover, 2hollis and The Hellp, Chakky continues expanding his world through new music, live performance and visuals.
