Fans, promoters and press see yourname.com instead of our address when you point a domain you own at your Artist Kit page. This page explains what a custom domain is and how to set one up.
What is a custom domain?
By default your page lives at artistkit.co/yourname. A custom domain puts your page at an address you own, like yourname.com or music.yourname.com. Same page, your brand on the URL.
Still one page
Nothing about your page changes. The custom domain becomes your main address, and artistkit.co/yourname keeps working too.
Automatic HTTPS
Artist Kit issues an SSL certificate for your domain automatically once DNS is set up. There are no extra steps and no renewals to manage.
What you'll need
A domain you own
Buy one from a registrar like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Squarespace (formerly Google Domains) if you don't have one yet.

You add two DNS records where you bought your domain. We show you the exact values to copy.
How to connect your domain
The whole process takes a few minutes. DNS changes take a little while to propagate, and Artist Kit handles SSL for you.
Step 1
Open Settings → Domain in the editor
In your Artist Kit editor, open the Domain section. On a Pro plan you see a field to connect a domain.
Step 2
Enter your domain
Type the domain you own (for example www.yourname.com) and click connect. Artist Kit then shows the exact DNS records to add.
Step 3
Add the DNS records at your registrar
Copy the A and CNAME records into your registrar's DNS settings. Your registrar's guide below has step-by-step instructions.
Step 4
Wait for your page to go live
DNS changes usually take a few minutes. Once they propagate, your page is live on your domain and SSL is issued automatically.

Connect your domain in the editor first, then add these two records at your registrar. The apex A record is the same for everyone. Your www value is unique to your site.

The A record points your bare domain (yourdomain.com) at Artist Kit. Use 216.150.1.1.
Your www value is unique to your page. Copy the exact value shown in Settings → Domain. The value is a string of letters and numbers followed by .vercel-dns-016.com.
Both records make www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com work. SSL is issued automatically once DNS propagates, usually within a few minutes.

Do I need a Pro plan?
Yes. Custom domains are a Pro feature. Upgrade from the editor, then connect your domain in Settings → Domain.
Where do I find my exact DNS values?
After you enter your domain in the editor, Settings → Domain shows the precise records to add. The apex A record is 216.150.1.1 for everyone. The www CNAME value is unique to your page, so copy the value from there.
How long until my domain works?
DNS changes usually take a few minutes, and occasionally longer. Once they propagate, your page goes live on your domain and an SSL certificate is issued automatically.
Does my old artistkit.co link still work?
Yes. Your page stays available at artistkit.co/yourname even after you connect a custom domain.
Do I get to use a subdomain like music.yourname.com?
Yes. Enter the full hostname you want as the primary address when you connect, and add the matching record at your registrar.
